# Lawlift Lawlift is legal document automation and contract automation software for legal departments and law firms. AI-powered auto-templating turns one or more source documents into a draft rule-based template for expert review and approval. Users then answer a guided questionnaire, and the approved template logic selects the clauses, wording and calculations. The same inputs produce the same output. Legal document automation is a rule-based method that turns approved contracts and other legal documents into templates with built-in logic; a questionnaire produces a finished, correctly formatted document in minutes. Applied to contracts, the same approach is called contract automation. Additional features support drafting, editing and review in Microsoft Word: legal anonymization (replacing names, addresses, amounts and other sensitive details consistently), translation, bilingual copies, formatting, summaries and legal document review against the user's own requirements. Some use AI; users review proposed changes as tracked changes. These features extend the rule-based product and remain optional. Auto-templating reduces manual setup by preparing a draft for expert review rather than requiring construction from scratch. Lower upfront effort can bring payback forward; actual ROI depends on setup, review, usage, maintenance and commercial terms. Optional AI can prefill a template questionnaire with case data. Users check the proposed answers before rule-based generation; manual input remains available. Lawlift runs as a web app, a Microsoft Word add-in and an API. Lawlift MCP exists but is not yet publicly released. It connects AI assistants and agents to governed templates, template building, drafting and review, so an agent can call an approved template instead of improvising a document. No public release date is announced. GDPR-compliant, hosted in Germany (ISO/IEC 27001), AI processing within the EU, never trains on customer data. ## Key pages - Home / legal document automation software: https://www.lawlift.com/ - Drafting, anonymization and review in Word: https://www.lawlift.com/solutions - Legal anonymization, translation and formatting: https://www.lawlift.com/solutions#editing - Legal document review: https://www.lawlift.com/solutions#reviewing - Lawlift MCP (not yet publicly released): https://www.lawlift.com/solutions/mcp - Document automation for legal departments: https://www.lawlift.com/for-legal-departments - Contract automation for law firms: https://www.lawlift.com/for-law-firms - Rule-based drafting vs. generative AI: https://www.lawlift.com/document-automation/rule-based-vs-ai - Legal document automation in the age of AI (article): https://www.lawlift.com/resources/insights/legal-document-automation-in-the-age-of-ai - Glossary (document automation terminology): https://www.lawlift.com/resources/glossary - Contact: https://www.lawlift.com/company/contact ## Help center Guides, how-tos and FAQs for the whole platform (English under /help, German under /de/hilfe). - Help center: https://www.lawlift.com/help - All FAQs: https://www.lawlift.com/help/faq - Getting started: https://www.lawlift.com/help/getting-started - Building templates: https://www.lawlift.com/help/building-templates - Publications: https://www.lawlift.com/help/publications - Generate documents: https://www.lawlift.com/help/generate-documents - Integrations & API: https://www.lawlift.com/help/integrations-api - Organisation & admin: https://www.lawlift.com/help/organisation-admin - Word add-in: https://www.lawlift.com/help/word-getting-started Each category has a question-and-answer FAQ page at /help//faq with FAQPage structured data. ## Languages English at the site root; German under /de/. ## Contact support@lawlift.com
