Your Lawlift dashboard has two main areas: Templates - the smart versions of your Word documents - and Modules - reusable building blocks you drop into templates.

Templates

Smart templates are the automated versions of your Word documents. You create, edit, use and share them here.

Open Templates in the menu to see every template you created or that others shared with you. Hover over a template to reveal its actions:

  • Edit - open the template in author mode to change its text, questions and logic.
  • Use - open document-generation mode to fill it in and produce a document.
  • ⋯ (three dots) - further options such as sharing, duplicating or deleting.

Modules

Modules are reusable packages of expert knowledge that you can insert into any number of templates. When you add a module, everything it contains comes along - headings, paragraphs, sections, questions, answers and the legal logic (rules) behind them.

Open Modules in the menu to see every module you built, extracted from a template, or that others shared with you.

Good to know

  • Build once, reuse everywhere. Update a module centrally and the change flows to every template that uses it.
