Success Story

Österreichische Post AG

Case study

A classic use case in document automation that keeps lawyers busy time and again: NDAs. At Österreichische Post AG and its subsidiaries, numerous NDAs are concluded which, despite their frequency, repeatedly raise questions. They were therefore the ideal starting point for introducing LAWLIFT. Additionally, the Group utilizes numerous sample and standard templates. By now, various templates (procurement contracts, terms of participation, and lease agreements) have been implemented in LAWLIFT.

The past

Before the introduction of LAWLIFT, templates in Word format were made available to the departments, which were then edited and revised. Follow-up questions were answered via emails.

The new approach

With LAWLIFT, we succeeded in linking the existing templates with knowledge. The templates were not only incorporated into LAWLIFT and equipped with structured questionnaires, but were also supplemented with additional information via the notes functionality. The departments thus benefit from many automated templates and also have a reliable source for contract standards.

Impact

The advantages are obvious:

• Departments can create contracts in just a few minutes

• Contract quality and content are standardized

• Substantive boundaries and legal leeway can be defined from the outset

• Templates can be managed uniformly and continuously updated — only a one-time effort when creating the templates

“With LAWLIFT, we have succeeded in advancing digitalization in the legal sector. This benefits not only the lawyers, who can once again tackle more complex topics, but also our clients, who can easily generate individualized documents based on the revised standards.”
